moduLAN 809 & Wander AG
The company Wander AG located in Neuenegg near Bern (Switzerland) is a leading food producer on the European market and achieves a production volume of 16.000 tons per year. Wander AG provides well-known products of the trade marks Caotina® and Ovomaltine®. The company focuses on high-quality ingredients in order to be able to guarantee first-class products.
The relationship between two traditional enterprises, whose combined experience totals nearly 250 years, as well as high quality goals on both sides led to a fruitful cooperation.
We integrated successfully a rotary labeller of the series moduLAN for the Ovomaltine® product at Wander already in 2016. For a new product launch -Caotina® as a spread- a new labeller was required in order to apply front -, back – and precisely aligned sealing labels to jars. As a moduLAN labeller was ideally suited for this task, again a machine of this type was configured. In this case, equipped with three self-adhesive labelling stations.
At first the seal label is applied at machine infeed. Then the jars are transported via the infeed belt onto the container plates of the machine carousel. Sensors installed at the hold down devices detect the seal stripe. Consequently, a contact-free and high-precision orientation of the products is effected by means of the single servo motors below each container plate. Then front and back label are applied exactly. Finally a label presence control is done.
